Evanston CASE: Community, Support, Advocacy, and Education for families living with disabilities in Evanston, IL.

Join our community of parents on social media. This forum is for parents/caregivers to receive support, and to share and receive information from CASE members.

The group is open to parents/caregivers of students with a disability or suspected disability who attend Evanston/Skokie School District 65 or ETHS District 202, or a private school, or are homeschooled. Screening questions must be answered to ensure a safe and confidential space.

The purpose of the Parent Partner Program is to empower parents/caregivers to successfully navigate their IEP or 504 Plan meeting in order to improve educational outcomes for their child.  Attending school meetings alone can be intimidating and overwhelming.  If you’d like someone to guide you through the process, to provide support at your meeting, and to take notes, a Parent Partner volunteer can help.

Evanston CASE Advocacy Clinic provides in-depth, personalized advocacy services for families navigating the special education system in Evanston/Skokie districts 65 and 202.  With our tailored advice and support, families can participate more fully in the special education process and achieve better outcomes for their children. With collaborative and tenacious representation, we will help you protect your child’s rights under the IDEA. We provide consultation, records reviews, IEP/504 meeting preparation and attendance, and strategic support.

Here, you will find many resources to help you navigate your family’s journey through living with a child with learning differences.
